Purpose
|
|
This program will update Gastroenterologists on the rapidly evolving innovations in endoscopy with the intention of improving the likelihood of identifying gastrointestinal lesions and pathology.

Program Overview
|
|
Modern diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy is progressing rapidly. The number of physicians practicing endoscopy is also increasing. Physicians must remain abreast of the new information, practices and techniques that are also rapidly evolving.
|

Audience
|
|
This program has been developed to update and educate gastroenterologists and primary care physicians, who provide care for people with gastrointestinal diseases.
|
|

Learning Objectives
|
Following completion of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:
- Identify the limitations of the current endoscopic techniques and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of GI pathologies.
- Explain the training requirements for performing endoscopic procedures.
- State the future directions and expectations for endoscopy for the next two or three years.
