Program Overview
|
|
Constipation affects at least 10 percent of the general U.S. population (25 percent of the elderly) and accounts for more than 2.5 million physician visits each year. Management of chronic constipation (constipation lasting more than 12 months) requires education on defined diagnostic criteria, proper patient work-up and available treatment options. As constipation is the most frequent reason for referral to a gastroenterologist, during this program, three renowned experts discuss updates in the management of chronic constipation using a case-based approach to explore key clinical questions relating to disease and patient management.
