Effective Management of Ulcerative Colitis
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a treatable condition that affects more than 500,000 Americans. Most UC cases are mild to moderate and can be managed medically. Until recently, management options heavily relied on oral medications that require frequent daily doses or the application of topical agents, which many patients find inconvenient. The availability of newer formulations and development of new delivery technology might improve management of UC. During this program, three renowned experts discuss the effective management of ulcerative colitis using a case-based approach to explore key clinical questions relating to disease management.
